Struggle in the Tower of Sorcerery. It was late at night and most of us were sitting around not doing much. Then reports came into the temple of two great armies amassing for battle. The army of good, led by the Valiant Bohemund, and an army of Darkness, of which the manaical Mass Murderer was General. Whtzombi, the Masterful Shaman, banded together a group of good young adventurers. Me(Cotton the knight) , Galahad the knight of Shadowhaven, Paladine, and Cyberwolf. We quickly decided that Bohemund had enough body guards and that the best way to end this would be to slay the leader of the evil army, the Malicious Mass Murderer. We reveiced word from Bohemund's advanced scouts that the Mass Murderer was hiding out in the tower of High Sorcery. Whtzombi didn't know where it was, but I did. I led the group outside the gates, and found them locked. I slew the diamond golem, but found he did not have the key. After a little while of searching, Wht found the key hidden in the grass. Quickly, we made our way to the top of the keep, but were ambushed my a Skeletal mage, which attacked Paladine. I quickly rescued him from certain doom. The battle was fierce, but I was winning. Until 2 death dogs bounded in the room. I fled as fast as I could, remembering stories told by the Great Kalistes about the hellish death dogs. I led the group quickly past the mage and dogs into the main part of the keep. We ran too fast for the mage to catch us. At this point the forces of good found that a small task force of evil adventurers, Caliban the crafty thief, Zeist the dark warrior, Emberlin, and Siko, were on their way to the Keep of Mahn-tor, where Bohemund was mustering his troops, to slay the good general. We decided that speed was of the essence now. Once we were in we discovered that the Murderer was behind 3 locked doors, and the keys were not in their proper places. I cried out to the heavens, demanding to know where the keys were, and Asmodeus told me that minions of the dark army had stolen the keys from the masters of good, neutrality, and evil. At this point the mage had tracked us down, but Whtzombi summoned the great dragon totem and made short work of the mage. We set about looking for the keys. Galahad, Paladine, and Cyberwolf went off together, and me and Wht split up. Upon entering the abode of the Master of neutrality I spotted a skeletal demon. I quickly went about attacking it. I quickly cleaved off it's arm with my Warsword, but it didn't faze the demon. In fact the arm continued to attack me from the ground. I was then greatly wounded by it's powerful mauls, but in turn also nearly incapacitated the demon with my Massive Warsword of the Templars. Then all hell broke loose. A skeletal Pirate walked in, followed by another death dog. The dog pounced on me whilst the pirate gouged a large hole in my side. In my greatly wounded state I could not defend my self well enough and suddenly woke up on the cloud of life. While this took place Cyberwolf was eaten alive by a death dog and never again returned to Landsverge. Galahad and Paladine, greatly wounded by evil death knights had recalled in a last ditch effort to survive. The gods took pity on me and transported me back to my corpse, but unfortunatly the death dogs were still eating bits of it. When I materialized I was quickly mauled to shreds by their serrated teeth, and reappeared in the cloud of life. Apparently the gods didn't realize what they were doing, and I was transported back to my corpse, again, and, again, the death dogs killed me. Finally, Asmodeus, the trickster obliterated the dogs and I was finally able to regain my corpse. Paladine and Galahad were sitting in the temple licking their wounds when I returned from retrieving my equipment. I led them back to the tower of sorcerery only to find the gate locked again. Wht, who at this time had been faring quite well under the protection of his Rat totems gave his key to the auction demon who sold it to me for 10million gold peices. I knew that the money would be useless if the army of darkness prevailed. When I had unlocked the gate we quickly preceeded up the tower again, and were ambushed by death dogs. The dogs immediatly pounced on Paladine, who was ripped to peices and then died. Galahad and I quickly dispatched the death dogs, realizing that they were no match for us when we worked together. We made it to the top and found that Whtzombi's rats had aquired two of the keys that we needed. The skeletal pirate, who I had managed to wound in our last encounter, was hiding the library. We made out way there, and while Wht ordered his remaining rats to kill the pirate, Galahad and I slew the remaining death dogs. We finally had all the keys, and we made our way to the top of the tower again, and scanned around. Not only was the Mass murderer up there, but also another immense skeleton and the Grand Mistress herself. Unable to pet spam, as Kalistes and CyberChrist did in the past, because of a severe shortage of animals we had to rely on Whtzombi's power to summon spirits to his aid. He sent in his horde's of rats, an occasionaly dragon. It took a while but we killed the mistress and the skeleton. It was just the Murderer and us. At this point we learned that Caliban's troupe had gotten through Bohemund's defenses and had even charmed Lester the molester to help them. This caused us great distraught. I thought about running the the keep or Mahn-tor and rescuing Bohemund, but Wht advised me to stay. He sent it Rat spirit after Rat spirit, while I would run in and hit the murderer a few times with my Warsword, now caked in blood, and flee before he killed all the rats. After a great long while, and rats, and a mistake by me ending in another one of my deaths, Galahad exclaimed, 'We did it!' 'What?!' I exclaimed. 'We killed the murderer,' cried Galahad. We all cheered for the forces of evil had once again been abated. Caliban's band had failed, for Bohemund himself was a great fighter and slew the entire party. Landsverge was safe... -Cotton is trying deparatly to fill Kalistes' shoes. The 21st Day of the Month of the Ancient Darkness, Year 299.
